How to Verify the Status of Iqama Transfer?

How can you check the status of the transfer requests?

Go to the Employee Transfer service page on Qiwa, where you can view all sent and received requests. In the table, you can see the current status of each request, its details, and the menu of actions you can take.
You can search requests by request number, Iqama number, employee name, and current or target establishment name. You can also filter the requests by their status.

What are the different statuses and what do they mean?

There are three different statuses regarding Employee Transfer requests.

Pending employee approval

The establishment owner should notify the employee to approve the transfer request through Qiwa within 10 days to avoid auto cancelation.

This transfer path requires the current employer's approval.

You can apply for it when:

  • the employee has been in Saudi Arabia for less than one year, or
  • the establishment has met the plan of the Ministry of Authentication.

Pending notice period completion

This transfer path requires the employee to complete their notice period at their current establishment before transferring to your establishment.

You can apply for it when:

  • the employee has been in Saudi Arabia for more than one year, and
  • the establishment has met the plan of the Ministry of Authentication.

The notice period can be modified to an earlier date by the current employer. However, this depends on an internal agreement between the employee and the current employer.

Pending current employer’s approval

This transfer path requires the current employer’s approval.

You can apply for it when:

  • the employee has been in Saudi Arabia for less than one year, or
  • the establishment has met the plan of the Ministry of Authentication.
